Regional Team Chess Tournament
Saturday and Sunday August 29-30, 2009
Location: C.U. Harper Center, 590 N 20th St, Omaha, NE 68102
Five round, four member team
Swiss (alternate player permitted), Game 90 with 30 second increment.
Team average rating cannot exceed cap 1500, using the June USCF
published ratings. Unrated players will be assigned a rating of 1499
for cap purposes. And see USCF Rule 31.
Rd 1: Saturday 9:00-1:00; Rd 2: 1:45-5:45; Rd 3: 6:45-10:45; Rd 4:
Sunday 9:00-1:00 and Rd 5 2:00-6:00. All rounds start on time.
All entry fees, except actual
expenses go into the prize fund. Cash prize distribution: 40% first
place, 30% second place, 20% third place. No tiebreaks, prizes combined
and split as necessary. Individual and Team Upset prize (5% each).
Any combination of players may
form a team, subject to the ratings cap. Any surplus players may join
an ad hoc team. Ad hoc teams will pay the early entry fee amount. List
of available unaligned players on line at www.omahachess.org.
Team Captains are required to
submit team in Board order, which cannot be changed by team. If a
player is not playing in a specific round, higher board number players
advance to fill vacancy. Alternate can only play Board 4. Board order
determined by published rating.
Entry Fee: $100 per team,
if received by August 28, 2009. On site entry fee is $150.00 per
team. Onsite registration is 8:00-8:30 a.m. Registrations
after 8:30 a.m. receive a no point bye for round 1 but may still be
paired in the event of an odd number of entries.
