Chess Tournament

9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

Scholastic sections open to chess players in grades K through 12. Adult sections open to everyone.  Also:  Team Trophies awarded to the top scoring schools!!

 

Students will be put in sections by grade level and will play everyone in their section.  Each section will have 8 to 12 players.  Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 places in each section.  Prizes will be awarded to all participants.   Please bring your chess sets (we will have extras for those without).  Adult volunteers will be needed to help run the individual sections.

 

      Registration Fee:  $3.00 if  received by November 15th, 2008
                                   After November 15th, registration is $5.00**

** If late registrants canÕt be placed in the proper grade level, these registrants may not be eligible for awards.

Please arrive by 8:30 am so we can start right at 9:00.  Enter the west side of Central High to get to the tournament area. Snacks and drinks will be available at the concession stand.
