Polgar/Denker Fundraiser

A Play for Pieces Event

This event is being run as a fundraiser to help cover some of the expenses for the Nebraska representatives to the Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls (Jul 27-Aug1, Lubbock, Tx)and 2008 Denker Tournament of High School Champions (Aug 2-5, Dallas, Tx).  All of the Prize Fund (entry fee's minus expenses) for this event will be donated to the Nebraska representatives.  These two tournaments are the premier National events for our top young players in the state.  As you can imagine expenses for a week of chess in Texas can be expensive.  Please help show your support for our top players.

The format of this event will be a 3 Round Quad, where players are matched in groups of four with other players of a similar USCF Rating.  Both the Polgar and Denker representatives will be in attendance and are looking for some good games to get them prepared for the upcoming tournaments.

DETAILS:

EF: $15 if payment received by 6/5, else $20

Prizes: Donated to Denker and Polgar representatives.

Time Control: G90

3 Round Quad: 9:00, 12:45, 4:00 (45 min lunch after 1^st round)

REGISTRATION: 8:00am – 8:45am

EQUIPMENT: Bring Clocks, Sets and Boards. Limited availability onsite.
