Chess Tournament

Scholastic sections open to chess players in grades K through 12. Non-rated Adults combined with high school for non- rated section depending on number of entries. Adult/high school section is open to anyone. Students will play in sections by grade level. Most sections will play round robin; high school and adults will play 4 rounds, Game/60 Swiss or round robin. Depending on number of entries, sections may be combined. Each section will have 8 to 12 players. Players should bring their own Staunton chess sets. Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 places in each section. Prizes to all K-8 participants. Awards will be presented when each section completes play.

Concessions available on site.

Entry Fee: $3.00 if received by December 18, 2008, entry fee becomes $5.00 after December 18. Onsite registration 7:45-8:45 a.m. Play begins at 9:00 a.m.

Enter from the east side of Millard South High School, 14905 ÒQÓ Street, located a few blocks west of the water tower at 144th and ÒQÓ.
