Chess Tournament

Scholastic sections open to chess players in grades K through 12. Adult sections open to everyone. Students will play in sections by grade level.   Most sections will play round robin; high school and adults will play 4 rounds, Game/60 Swiss or round robin.  Depending on number of entries, sections may be combined.  Each section will have 8 to 12 players.  Players should bring their own Staunton chess sets.  Medals will be awarded to the first 3 places in each section.  Awards will be presented when each section completes play.

Rated play offered too.  

Entry Fee:  $3.00 if received by December 13, 2007, after December 13, entry fee is $5.00. Onsite registration 8:15-8:45 a.m.  Play begins at 9:00 a.m.

Enter from the east side of Millard South High School, 14905 “Q” Street, located a few blocks west of the water tower at 144^th and “Q”.
