- Home−Schooled Students
- To be considered a homeschooled student, the student must have received a Rule 12 or Rule 13 acknowledgement letter from the State Department of Education.
- The tournament director reserves the right to verify a homeschooler's grade level by reviewing his/her Rule 12 or Rule 13 documentation.
- Home−schooled students may form teams.
- A home−schooled student may participate in a school team if:
- the student is eligible to attend that school, and
- the student has written verification from the school principal that the student is a member of that school's team or club
- (i.e. the student meets and practices with that school's team)
- Refer eligibility questions to the tournament director.
- Team Score
- "Team Score" will be the total of the scores of the top four chessplayers from a school in a section.
- To be eligible for a team trophy, a school team must have a minimum of two players within the same section.
