Chess Tournament

Scholastic sections open to chess players in grades K through 12. Adult sections
open to everyone. Students will be play in grade level sections. Most sections
will play round robin; high school and adults will play Game/40 Swiss or round
robin. Depending on number of entries, sections may be combined. Each section
will have 8 to 12 players. Players should bring their own Staunton chess sets.
Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 places in each section. Awards will
be presented when each section completes play.
Registration Fee: $2.00 if received by May 2nd; after May 2nd, $5.00
Onsite registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Play begins at 9:00 a.m.
Enter from the east side of Millard South High School, 14905 "Q"
Street, located a few blocks west of the water tower at 144th and "Q".
Concessions will be available. Pizza will be available at lunch.

Upon completion of tournament play, each player may choose to participate in
a simultaneous chess match against one or more of the strongest chess players
in Omaha. There is NO cost to participate in the simul. We hope to have players
available to review your simul game and to offer you suggestions on how to improve.
