Chess Tournament

at the Qwest Center (room 209)

This is a non-USCF non-rated Swiss system tournament played in 2 sections.    The Open section is open to players of all ages, but is best suited for adults and high school students.  This will be a 4 round tournament at Game 45.  The K-8 section is for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. This will be a 4 round tournament at Game 30.  Check in and on-site registration for both sections will be 9:00 — 9:30 am.

Open Section rounds will be at 10:00, 11:30, 1:30 and 3:00, and will award trophies to 1st and 2nd place and to 1st and 2nd place for players under 18.  The K-8 section rounds will be at 10:00, 11:00, 1:00 and 2:00 and will award trophies to 1st, 2nd, 1st K-6 and 1st K-3.  Additional trophies based on entrants.  

 

Tournament Director:  Mike Gooch     Early Registration Fee:  $5.00

    Registration Deadline:  Early Registrations must be received by September 28th, 2005

    Registration is $10.00 after September 28th. 

--Play in the first tournament at the Qwest Center.

--Visit other River City Roundup events and displays.

--Help promote chess to the thousands of River City Roundup visitors.

--Warmup tournament for the Omaha City Championship held in November.

--Food available on site.
