The Lincoln Chess Foundation is hosting its third Summer Chess Camp June 27-July 1, 2005 at Lincoln Christian School, 5801 South 84th Street in Lincoln, NE.

Five elite chess players and coaches will teach at the camp.

• Grandmaster Miron Sher is among the top players in the United States. He is the former national coach for Russia and Denmark. He teaches in New York’s Chess in the Schools’ Program. His private students hold many national titles.
• Dr. Alexey Root is the former U.S. Women’s Chess Champion. She teaches chess courses for educators at the University of Texas at Dallas.
• David MacEnulty is a full time chess teacher in New York City. His chess clubs have won many national team titles. He is the author of numerous chess books, videos, and software packages.
• Keaton Kiewra is the reigning Nebraska State Champion. He is a chess master and a six-time national champion. He coaches chess at Maxey and Pyrtle Schools in Lincoln.
• Dr. Tom O’Connor is "Dr. Chess" in Nebraska. He has coached chess in several schools and directed dozens of scholastic events. Tom has also coached several of Nebraska’s top scholastic players.

The Full Day camp is from 9:00-4:00 and is for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The Half Day camp is from 9:00-12:00 and is for children in kindergarten through third grade who prefer a shorter day. All campers enjoy top-level instruction geared toward their level, opportunities for free play and speed chess, tournament games, recreation, and more all in a safe and supervised setting. Campers receive a camp tee shirt and a participation award. Full Day campers also receive a daily lunch and snack.

Camp space is limited. The registration fee, if paid by April 30^th, is $240 per child for the Full Day and $150 for the Half Day. After April 30, the costs increase by $50.
